Who doesn't love a good, gooey, and warm brownie? In this beautifully photographed book, not only do bakers get an amazing array of brownie recipes, but also blondies, cookie bars, and even fudge. Photographer and recipe developer Johnson, creator of the popular blog Mike Bakes NYC, has compiled a collection of creative, easy-to-follow recipes for bakers of all levels. Similar to those posted on his blog and popular Instagram account, many of these recipes are perfect for any occasion, including holidays. The book is divided into six chapters including brownies, cookies, no-bake bars, cheesecake bars, pie bars, and blondies. Helpfully, Johnson includes tips and techniques that he often applies to his recipes, notably, taking time and care to buy worthwhile chocolate. He also advises to check baked goods before their cooking time is up, since brownies are "sensitive creatures." Johnson's signature photography is featured throughout, bringing treats such as spiced caramel turtle brownies, dulce de leche brownies, and cookie butter fudge to life.
