Gardner (Erin Bakes Cake) has compiled a collection of 100 recipes to satisfy your need to take time away from everyday tasks and work that you just don't want to finish. The book came into creation because Gardner had hashtagged herself procastibaking instead of testing a recipe for a cookbook. This led to her being featured in the New York Times in an article about the topic of procrastibaking. The introduction includes a section on why you might consider procrastibaking, as well as a list of different months and days in honor of ingredients or specific desserts; for example, Chocolate Chip Day. Included are tempting and satisfying treats, such as billionaire tart, frozen strawberry margarita bars, salted caramel fudge, buttercrunch cookies, French onion gougres, and baked Alaska ice cream cones. VERDICT A creative and fun way to introduce baking into your life. Recommended for bakers of all levels, and an essential for home bakers to have in their collections.--Holly Skir, Broward Cty.
