The Future of Space Exploration

Gr 5-9-While the books in this series do eventually get around to the possible futures of important segments of modern civilization, they open with fairly lengthy overviews of each topic's history and significance. They then discuss how past progress and trends in current technology and research might affect innovation and make plausible and realistic predictions. Authors also objectively address the ethical, social, and environmental issues that will accompany those future developments. Texts are supplemented by large, well-captioned color photos and reproductions and brief sidebars about related topics. These volumes are informative and well written, but given the many extant titles about the topics, they are best suited as additional purchases for report writing.
