Acclaimed historian Stephen Ambrose begins his examination with a glance inward—he starts this book with his brothers, his first and forever friends, and the shared experiences that join them for a lifetime, overcoming distance and misunderstandings. He writes of Dwight D. Eisenhower, who had a golden gift for friendship and who shared a perfect trust with his younger brother Milton in spite of their apparently unequal stations. With great feeling, Ambrose brings to life the relationships of the young soldiers of Easy Company who fought and died together from Normandy to Germany, and he describes with admiration three who fought in different armies on different sides in that war and became friends later. He recounts the friendships of Lewis and Clark and of Crazy Horse and He Dog, and he tells the story of the Custer brothers who died together at the Little Big Horn.

Comrades concludes with the author's moving recollection of his own friendship with his father. "He was my first and always most important friend. I didn't learn that until the end, when he taught me the most important thing, that the love of father-son-father-son is a continuum, just as love and friendship are expansive."

Sonorous, smooth, friendly, Nelson Runger's voice carries us gently through this contemplative commentary on comrades whom the distinguished historian Ambrose has studied or known personally. Ambrose's broad range brings us from Lewis and Clark to unsung students and colleagues. He touches on George A. Custer, Dwight Eisenhower, Richard Nixon, and many others (with Nixon standing out as almost unable to form comradely bonds with other people). Friendship comes easily to Ambrose, and the number of divergent persons he has known and liked is remarkable. 3- به خاطر تغییراتی که در فروشگاه های مرجعی که بوکم از آنها کتاب تهیه میکند پیش می آید، ممکن است کتاب خریداری شده ی کاربر قابل تهیه کردن نباشد که در این صورت بوکم مبلغ پرداختی کاربر را به حساب او عودت داده و یا کیف پول او نزد بوکم را شارژ می نماید.
4- بیشتر از کتابهای درخواستی به صورت آنی در اختیار خریدار قرار میگیرد. مواردی که آنی قابل ارسال نیست حداکثر در سه ساعت در زمان کاری تهیه شده و به کاربر اطلاع داده شده و لینک دانلود برای او ارسال میشود.
5- کاربران موظف به حفظ محتوای خریداری شده توسط خودشان هستند و بوکم تعهد نگهداری یک ماه از کتاب خریداری شده توسط کاربر را دارد.
6- کاربرانی که در تامین محتوا و همکاری در فروش با بوکم همکاری دارند بایست طبق قوانین جمهوری اسلامی ایران اقدام به فروش در پلتفرم بوکم نمایند و پاسخگوی مراجع ذی صلاح درباره محتوای فروشی خود در بستر بوکم را به عهده دارند.
7- فایل فروخته شده با ارائه دلیل منطقی(مثل کیفیت نامناسب کتاب برای خوانش) تا 24 ساعت از سوی کاربر قابل عودت می باشد.
