Take your woodturning up a notch with segmented woodturning. Instructor and author Rodgers (A Lesson Plan for Woodturning) presents a collection of beautiful segmented creations. Vital techniques for accurate cutting and assembly are covered. The process is introduced with a segmented bowl project, followed by plans utilizing different designs and variations. Most instruction is text, with good diagrams, but some photos are less detailed. Tool use is assumed as is a fully equipped workshop. Some construction requires specialized tools and templates. VERDICT Recommended for intermediate-to-advanced woodturners only.
