"If you are looking for a thoroughly detailed story of relationship trials, family trials, and decisions of the heart, then The Butterfly Storm would be the perfect book." Rhonda, Chick Lit Plus.
"As a first book you never know what to expect. There is nothing to compare it to. I do not believe I have ever read a book like this and do not believe I will again for a long time. I most certainly will recommend this to all my friends." Charlotte Lynn, A Novel Review.
INTERVIEW WITH THE AUTHOR
Q. What inspired The Butterfly Storm?
A. The time I've spent in Greece and north Norfolk in the UK is the inspiration for the book. My husband is Greek and his family all live in Greece so I've been lucky enough to spend time there and get to see Greek relationships and family life first hand! As for Norfolk I have fond memories of Christmas and occasional summer holidays spent on my grandparent’s farm - it's a beautiful part of the country to write about and set a novel in.
Q. What will appeal to readers?
A. At its heart The Butterfly Storm is a love story yet it's not a typical romance. It is, however, most definitely about relationships - romantic ones as well as friendships and family relationships, in particular mothers and daughters in the main character Sophie, her estranged mother Leila and also with Sophie's mother-in-law to be, Despina. The Butterfly Storm is emotional and heartwarming women's fiction about families, relationships and love.
Q. Is it part of a series?
A. I originally intended it to be a stand alone novel but so many readers have asked what happens next and if there will be a follow on book I've now published its sequel, The Birdsong Promise! Another book in the series, The Honeysuckle Dream, which can be read as a standalone novel and tells Sophie's mum Leila's story, will be released in summer 2019.
