Elm Creek Quilts

Chiaverini is the author of a popular series of novels with a common quilting theme, and here she offers a pattern book of quilting projects inspired by characters and events in the "Elm Creek" series. Working with quilt designer and teacher Odom, Chiaverini has put together an interesting selection of quilting projects inspired by the first four novels: The Quilter's Apprentice, Round Robin, Cross-Country Quilters, and The Runaway Quilt. Projects include a variety of pieced and appliqued quilts with step-by-step instructions and full-sized templates where necessary. Reading the novels is not a prerequisite for making the quilts pictured, but they will take on deeper meaning for those familiar with the books. Recommended for public library quilting collections.
