NPR Favorite Driveway Moments

A "driveway moment" is what National Public Radio calls stories that make listeners stay in the car to listen to the end. Eighteen of those stories, selected through listener feedback, are presented, with new introductions from NPR personalities. Stories include a humorous Bogart-style investigation into numbers on currency; first-person accounts of foster care and prison life; gripping stories of war in Sarajevo, loss on 9/11, recovery in Afghanistan, and desegregation in the American South; a nostalgic look at high school basketball; and interviews with actress/comedian Kathy Griffin and Cookie Monster.
