After spending nine months reading about pregnancy and parenting, many new moms find they still have questions relating to their postpartum life. By that point, however, they're likely to be too busy with all the obligations that come with having a baby to look further into the matter. Wider ("The Doctor's Complete College Girls' Health Guide"), a medical doctor and mother of two, was inspired by a new-mom support group she joined to write this great reference source for all those questions you don't want or have the time to ask. She gives new moms a frank and upbeat overview of what changes they can expect and how to deal with them. She also encourages new momswhose families, after all, need for them to be healthyto be aware of what their bodies and minds are telling them. Sections are made for dipping into as needed rather than reading straight through and explore issues relating to breast feeding, sex, weight loss, health, and more. A useful book that may help new moms reclaim balance in their lives and address their own needs sooner rather than later; recommended for public libraries.Mindy Rhiger, Minneapolis
