Most people won't remember the Yarnell Hill Fire in the summer of 2013, but mention The Granite Mountain Hotshots and the fact that 19 of 20 of those firefighters died in the fire, and many more people will recall the terrible catastrophe. This audiobook, written by a former firefighter, tells the story of the fire and, more importantly, how our water and land management over the past 100 years will likely lead to more such tragedies. Will Damron narrates with a low, serious tone that reflects the book's subject. His approach is appropriate to a point, but he rarely varies his pitch. Nonetheless, he reads with clarity and authority. R.I.G. © AudioFile 2015, Portland, Maine
