Golf Dreams

Updike's fans will find an added measure of joy at hearing him read this excellent abridgment with all the resonance and confidence that writing of stature deserves. Updike speaks with unusual lyricism and creates a strong impression on audiotape without being too dramatic. The music is also outstanding; periodically it fades into the reading so smoothly that one wishes for more during some of the longer spoken segments. Golf Dreams the audiobook will please golfers who approach the game as a sport.
