Twenty years ago, the author cowrote The Complete Guide to Indoor Gardening. In that book, the eye-catching combinations of container plants, either singly or in groupings, and advice for plant selection and care provided the indoor gardener inspiration to follow. In this slim volume, Bradley distills the ideas and streamlines the "how-tos." The subtitle reveals the overall arrangement by type (cacti, succulents, planters, terrariums) and offers tips for planting medium, plant selection, and containers. Instructions for creating the projects are in numbered sequence, with corresponding pictures that follow the process from beginning to end. Completing the entries are suggestions for how to "Make It Happy," a time line for repotting, and a section titled "How Long Will It Last?" The chapter on growing food, from microgreens and herbs (from seed) to chillies and citrus plants (purchased plants) demonstrates the variety of possibilities of nurturing plants indoors.
