Anyone who attempted to crochet with thick hardware store wire before the advent of the small-gauge colored copper craft wire probably didn't get too far without some type of repetitive stress injury -and certainly didn't have much fun in the process. With this small book, Wiseman ("Knitting with Wire") helps make the transition to wire crochet painless and fun. She discusses types of wire and necessary tools as well as how to choose the appropriate wire gauge for any project. Included are 30 projects with complete instructions for earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and baskets. Most of the projects require only simple crochet stitches, and all projects are graded by skill level. A good choice for public libraries.
