Independent stylist and curly girl Massey punnishly provides guidance and encouragement, especially for those who want to stop the expensive and time-consuming dyeing process and embrace their silverness. She urges hair stylists to work with their clients rather than lament losing color customers. Ways they can help include highlights and lowlights, toner applications, short-short haircuts, or even dyeing hair faux-silver until natural colors come through. The last part of the book has silver hair care recipes, tips for matching makeup and accessories to your new look, and product recommendations and cautions (silicone, parabens, and shampoos with sulfates are no-nos).
