An updated version of Seymour's 1976 classic Complete Book of Self-Sufficiency, this exhaustive and lavishly illustrated guide will appeal to readers interested in moving further off the grid. The majority of the book is devoted to traditional farming concerns such as livestock and crops, with best practices for plowing and pest prevention. Guns are mentioned only in a hunting context, and there's practically nothing about disaster survival, setting this further apart from ordinary prepper fare. The book will have substantial value for gardeners and novice farmers, however, and makes interesting reading if one has even slight interest in agriculture and self-sufficiency.
