Fast, Fun & Easy® Scrapbook Quilts

In making the fast, fun, and easy scrapbook quilts of the book's title, Astroth combines fabric piecework and quilting with found objects, memorabilia, rubber stamping, and other embellishments to create a variety of scrapbook "pages" for the wall. She describes rummaging through thrift stores, garage sales, rubber-stamp stores, online auctions, and friends' homes to find treasures for her quilts, conveying her enthusiasm for the chase. Although some quilters may attempt to reproduce the 15 scrapbook quilts included here, it is likely that these projects will be used as jumping-off points for quilts based on readers' personal and family history. Certainly, these quilt assemblages would be an excellent fund-raising group project as well as appropriate for personal gifts. Recommended for public libraries where there is demand for scrapbooking and quilting titles.
