You might just catch a whiff of resin and wood smoke in the air as you listen to Lars Mytting's treatise on wood--chopping it, stacking it, and burning it. Narrator Matthew Davies's pleasing British accent and accurate-sounding Norwegian pronunciations are a great match for this conversational translation of Mytting's work. The history of wood burning in cold Scandinavian countries, and the ways those traditions remain a part of their modern cultures, makes for fascinating listening (especially for Scandi-philes). Some of the nitty-gritty details about types of wood and brands of axes or chainsaws may not be best absorbed via audio, but Davies makes it all eminently listenable.
