Bond--James Bond--is back, in this second story of his youthful life of adventure, as depicted in the Young Bond series. As a student at Eton who has yet to embark on the formal career of espionage, Bond's adventures--and there are many--take him to Sardinia, where he gains friends and enemies. Higson doesn't skimp on the action, gripping the listener at every suspenseful turn. Nathaniel Parker's narration is nothing short of outstanding. He delivers a wide range of believable accents for the European characters: a deep-voiced Hungarian, a lispy Sardinian, a dramatic Italian painter, a sultry woman, a deep-voiced Latin teacher, and assorted British school chums.
