Grades 6-8 Fans of the musical Hamilton will find plenty of information about its creator in this book celebrating aspects of Miranda's life, such as his Puerto Rican roots, his early immersion in musicals, his proficiency in freestyle rap, his collaborative working style, and his creation of the biggest smash hit on Broadway. While offering plenty of facts about Miranda, his education, and his work in many areas of the entertainment industry, the writing tends to gush about his achievements and often repeats phrases such as one of the biggest stars in the world, which appears twice within seven sentences. All the extensive, appended Chapter Notes lead to online resources.
