Emotional wellness counselor Hintze proposes a five-step process that allows individuals to discover past family belief systems that color their emotions in the present. Through self-awareness, Hintze says, one can better understand and love one's family and oneself and clearly focus energy on achieving goals. She illustrates her message with life stories and explanations of common areas of dissension, such as finance, physical health, spirituality, education, and relationships. Doubtless, readers will benefit by thinking through and applying the issues discussed. A good addition to self-help collections; recommended for public libraries.
