In the latest entry in her Geek Girls series, Lamm (Geek Girls Don't Date Dukes, 2013) doesn't disappoint. Twenty-first-century comic-book artist Ella Briley is whisked into the past by a magical mirror owned by housekeeper Mrs. Knightsbridge. Once she arrives in 1820 England, she is immediately kidnapped by Patrick Meadowfair, Earl of Fairhaven, in a case of mistaken identity. When Ella comes to and realizes where she is, she isn't entirely shocked; she time-traveled once before to help a friend. Ella soon drives Patrick mad with her modern attitude, and he, in return, drives her mad with his formal manners and staunch honesty. But when Ella falls ill on their journey to his home in the countryside, he tenderly nurses her back to health. Along the way, they fall in love, but this is no ordinary long-distance relationship. How can they survive if they live in two different centuries? Leave it to crafty Mrs. Knightsbridge to find a way to save the day and their relationship.
