The levels of hell inhabited by the leads in Cox’s BDSM-themed romance (originally self-published as Porn Star) are extreme, as is their behavior. Quinn Blackwood is the billionaire scion of a powerful politician. He lives solely to ruin his father in revenge for his mother’s misery. His plan, ludicrously enough, involves playing sex games with multiple enemies and putting on disguises to film kinky sex videos. His latest lover is Lucky, aka Elyse. Her father prostituted her out until she killed one of his henchmen to protect her baby sister from the same fate. Desperate for money that will assure her and her sister’s safety, she agrees to filmed sex, for $100,000 a night, with the mysterious Q. Elyse doesn’t know that Quinn and Q are the same man, but he knows just who she is, resulting in plenty of Machiavellian mind games that some may find sexy. Quinn’s nonsensical scheme and the levels of depravity displayed by multiple villains put this novel entirely over the top. Agent: Helen Breitwieser, Cornerstone Literary.
