Ex-SAS officer Christian Watson has met his match and lost his heart to smart-mouthed Chicagoan Emily Scott, his Black Knights Inc. office manager, but she may be caught in the crossfire when his past puts their current mission in jeopardy.For Christian, Emily's "the woman who had crawled under his skin and made a home for herself there." Christian lays his heart on the line, but Emily will have to work through her own problematic family history in order to reach for a happily-ever-after she's not sure she believes in or deserves. In the latest episode of her Black Knights Inc. romantic suspense series, Walker offers an interim title that focuses on a personal vendetta storyline rather than the current overarching international villain thread (Fuel for Fire, 2017, etc.) but links it in a way that keeps the intrigue high while introducing another potential couple and ratcheting up the male/male romantic tension between previously introduced secondary characters Ace and Rusty.Another highly satisfying, action-packed romance.
