Never Better

Garrison Keillor brings some of his most poignant and hilarious "tales from Lake Wobegon" to this terrific set. Whether hearing his sonorous tones regaling us with tales of "Flying Elvises on the Fourth of July" or "The Little Girl and the Deadly Snake," among others, listeners are treated to live renditions of masterpieces of modern Americana. When Keillor is at his best, it's like O. Henry meets Twain, and the sadness, irony, and deep understanding of the human condition found in all of his writing come clearly through his voice.
