Presented here are a variety of interiors featured in Elle Decor that Boodro (editor in chief, Elle Decor) and the magazine's editorial team feel exemplify the best of interior design over the past five years. However, the text by Elle Decor senior editor and writer Ingrid Abramovitch (Restoring a House in the City) makes this volume more than just a collection of 200-plus color photographs depicting a range of professionally designed rooms. She describes the designers' craft and supplies their decorating advice, explaining the individual elements that produce such a stunning look. Sections that detail the design features of an individual room with quotes from professional interior designers are interspersed throughout, providing additional guidance. VERDICT Professionals will be inspired by the photographs, and amateurs will learn from the designers' advice included here.
