Gierach's previous book and articles (four of which are included here) have been well received by the fishing fraternity. The present effort is a collection of 20 pieces marked by Gierach's inimitable, intelligent style. Not purely philosophical, adventurous, or instructional, the book combines elements of all three with a dash of wit to boot.
