With his sonorous voice, great comic timing and talent for goofy voices, McKean is an inspired choice to kick off the first two volumes in Stine's silly new Rotten School series, brimming with puns, potty humor and sarcastic asides. In these short and snappy recordings, listeners meet Bernie Bridges, a schemer always trying to make a finer life for himself at Rotten School, the boarding school that's his home away from home. Apart from Bernie's antics, faculty with names such as Mrs. Heinie, Coach Bunz and Headmaster I. Will Upchuck ensure that kids will have plenty to snicker about. These initial volumes involve a blueberry pie-eating contest with rough results and Bernie's efforts to hide his bulldog, Gassy, from school authorities. Ages 7-10.
