The Good Dog

McKinley is the top dog in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. His duties include caring for the other dogs in town and his human owners. The peace in McKinley's pack is threatened when a she-wolf comes to town, trying to attract dogs to join her and live free. When the wolf is threatened by humans, McKinley knows he must be the one to help save her. Robert Ramirez uses many different voices to create a community of dogs that sound mainly submissive. He gives McKinley a stronger, more commanding, tone and the she-wolf an angry tone. The tale will leave the listener wondering what his own canine is thinking. J.F.M.
