Biscuit's Snow Day Race

K-Gr 2-Biscuit, the mischievous but adorable pup, is up to new adventures in this snowy tale. Biscuit and a young girl discover that it is snowing, so they decide to build a snow fort. Big, white puffy snowflakes fall through the pages as Biscuit tries to help, but gets distracted by all of the wonders around him. As the young girl builds the snow fort, she looks up and calls to Biscuit that a sledding race is about to begin. The pup's curiosity gets the best of him, and he inadvertently joins the race. Readers are sure to be delighted by Biscuit's surprise ending to the race. VERDICT With its simple sentences and supportive illustrations, this book would be a great addition to a library to support beginning readers.-Katie Callahan, Montgomery County Public Schools, MD
