An internationally respected teacher of jumping, combined training, and dressage, Jahiel (The Parent's Guide to Horseback Riding) presents 100 questions on a broad variety of riding problems that were submitted to her online newsletter, Jessica Jahiel's Horse Sense. Interestingly, she answers each question with several wrong answers first; then, she follows by explaining why they are incorrect and presenting what is the right approach and why. Her explanations are simple and easy to follow, and her title addresses rider problems that are rarelyif everaddressed in other books, such as how to hold reins with arthritic hands or how to avoid chafing from contact with the saddle. If your library can buy only one adult book on English riding, this is a good choice.
