Goodman explores the challenges of maintaining safety in the digital world. At times, Robertson Dean can be overwhelming as narrator. His deep, gravelly voice demands attention, and listeners easily fall into step with his smooth cadence and emphasis. This is useful for the message, but because Dean's voice is so powerful, it can sound too intense when it's clear Goodman is exaggerating for effect. In contrast, the author's narration of the introduction does little for listeners since his flat tone pales compared to Dean's voice. Still, the discussion of a variety of weaknesses and vulnerabilities embedded in our technological infrastructure is solid, and Goodman provides some strong advice on how to resolve them.
