The last book in Rax's Love & Revenge series (My Married Boyfriend, 2016) begins with the hired murder of Rashad. Readers then move back to his wedding to Nicole. Nicole can't believe she is getting everything she wanted. Her machinations to get him away from his ex and her boss, Kiara, finally pay off with a wedding and a big new house. Rashad can't believe he is married either, and he plans to get it annulled so he can get back with Kiara. Nicole does not take the news well and plans to stop him. As for Kiara, she doesn't know what she wants, especially as her new boyfriend is acting mysterious. Alexis, Rashad's former mistress, tries to support Kiara, though the two women are reeling from the loss of the man who meant so much to them in the past. Rax shows the unvarnished results of the selfish actions of Rashad and Nicole, heightened by her changing point of view.
