PreS-Gr 2-This title focuses on adorable baby animals and their mothers. Each spread features a different pair; readers meet flamingos, tamanduas, marmots, gorillas, and beluga whales, among others. A charming family photo shows the animals interacting, and brief, conversational sentences contain a variety of facts pertaining to the babies' maternal relationships, such as birth weight, communication tactics, and eating habits. Even prereaders will love joining in as the last sentence of each spread greets the animal mothers: e.g., "Hello, mommy swift fox!"
