Scary Mazes

Gr 2-5-Start a maze craze in your library! Maze books are few and far between in the school library, but these simpler mazes, intended to be followed with a finger, not a pencil or pen, suggest that the books won't get ruined the first time they're used. The difficulty level is just right-not so easy that they can be solved by looking, but not so hard as to demand a pencil. Framed with fun themes, each maze pits a pair of pop-eyed cartoon kids against silly-scary perils and bad guys. Heroes as well as bosses are as diverse as they are kooky. Full-bleed, full-color graphics occupy every scrap of space so that each twist and turn is large enough for a little finger to follow. Reading bonus: each maze's description is chockablock with vocabulary (avalanche, android, rubble, imps). VERDICT Find your way to these winning books.
