Gr 3-4-Vivid, colorful photographs accent clear text to provide an interesting, episodic glimpse into daily tasks and how people all over the globe accomplish them. Readers are encouraged to compare elements of their own lives with that of children around the world and examine the similarities and differences. Families and Homes even go so far as to include the animal world in their coverage. Some weightier topics, like child labor, are mentioned though not explored in great depth. VERDICT This fun look at the common bonds people share is worthwhile for most collections.
