When she sees Alexander, another baron, from afar, his towering strength and chiseled good looks captivate her, and she agrees to be his wife after her safety is threatened by a devious suitor. Hannah soon learns that Alexander is a man of few words, which irritates her until she discovers the reason behind his quiet ways. Despite his gruff exterior and her headstrong manner, Hannah and Alexander slowly build an attachment that is realistic and heartfelt, especially as his foes grow increasingly brazen. The pair’s chemistry, intense from the first moment their eyes lock, results in numerous sizzling hot encounters that satisfy, despite some over-the-top descriptions.
