Though the series title is a bit unwieldyCharity & Philanthropy Unleashedthese books offer readers a look at the groups working hard around the world to solve some of its biggest problems. The Quest to End World Hunger explores the causes of hunger (surprisingly, it's not a lack of food in the world but, rather, how it's distributed) and shows how organizations around the globe are trying to make sure that those in need of food receive food. The texts are wordy but very informative, though more copyediting could have helped. The use of up-close bios to begin each series title brings the topic closer; the color photographs, though usually stock, are crisp and affecting.
