Roselie Stratton doesn't care what her family and friends say about women and espionage work; she knows she has the necessary skill set to succeed as a spy. So she creates an alternate identity for herself as Asteria, who quickly becomes one of the British Home Office's most successful agents. Now, bringing down the Marquess of Ilford will be the feather in Roselie's undercover-career cap, if she can just get old family friend (and perpetual thorn in her side) Bradwell Brody Garrick to stay out of her way. Even though their professional paths have only crossed a time or two, Brody knows there is something very familiar about the legendary Asteria. He is positive he has met the mystery spy before, but under completely different circumstances, though he can't for the life of him remember where. Then Brody bumps into Roselie at Almack's, and suddenly the pieces of the puzzle begin falling into place. Boyle distills her signature irresistible mix of superbly nuanced characters, deliciously dry wit, and potent sexual chemistry into the latest brilliantly written installment of her Rhymes with Love series (The Knave of Hearts, 2016), thus proving yet again why her books are sine qua non for romance readers.(Reprinted with permission of Booklist, copyright 2017, American Library Association.)
