More Notes From the Universe

Former CPA Mike Dooley's small doses of encouragement started out as inspirational truths on T-shirts. Now expressed in his books, audios, and daily emails, they're remarkably engaging. The "notes" are presented as personalized messages from "the universe"--that is, the benevolent mentor and teacher most of us know as God. The author's clearly enunciated reading sounds direct and charmingly earnest. He's part business consultant and part cheerleader. His believable enthusiasm is a good fit for his writing. The musical interludes that punctuate each note are odd and distracting. But the notes themselves are powerful reminders that happiness and success can be ours if we discover who we are, remain open to the paths given to us, and believe in ourselves enough to take constructive action.
