Is there no such thing as death? Bunick (The Messengers, In God's Truth) has compiled various stories to convey and share precisely that understanding. Death, he argues, is only a transition of our spirits and souls from the confinement of our physical bodies into the spiritual world. The stories come from people of many walks of life and seek to address the question of whether or not we are immortal and eternal. Stories include visitations or the awareness of the presence of deceased loved ones. Some highlight angels, while others convey the presence of the other world through sights, smells, sounds, or even dreams. The stories include the passing of both humans and animals and incorporate references to immortality and reincarnation. This is probably a compilation for believers, as the stories will likely not convince skeptics. Libraries with New Age readers should consider this title. Leroy Hommerding, Fort Myers Beach P.L.
