Coding with LEGO WeDo

Grades 2-4 Far more than just building, the makerspace movement encompasses a wide range of interests, activities, and concepts in makerspaces, as evidenced by the 21st Century Skills Innovation Library: Makers as Innovators Junior series. Accompanied by photographs of young makers in action, each book introduces a different maker topic, including the supplies needed and how to use them to design, build, or code simple circuits, robots, inventions, and more. Coding with LEGO WeDo discusses how children can build a LEGO model, such as a robot, that moves and makes sounds by coding with the LEGO WeDo 2.0 Core Set and software. Throughout the volumes, boxed information offers helpful tips, while a concluding section encourages readers to expand their projects with suggestions given or their own ideas.
