srox - Ok, this is sad but Hilarious. So Talia's Mother has her own show and she talks about embarrassing stuff that Talia does out on public. When her school gets a new commentary for the weekly TV podcast, SHE starts saying embarrassing stuff About her mom. I thought it was Hilarious that mother daughter REVENGE!!!! But It's purpose was really about friendship. If your friend (or like Talia's friend , Bridget) Is loud and you might be embarrassed that was Talia's feeling. Except when she realized that SHE had to be good friend to Bridget. Even If she was a loud friend. At least Bridget was good to her, so Talia learned to be a good friend back. Even if Meredith and Brynne who used to be their friends think she's snotty and dumped her, Talia shouldn't do the Same thing. Its on a tight rope but Talia realizes what she needs to do. Does she do it? Read the book to find out :)

Gr 4-6-Talia's life is complicated. Her mom has a morning TV show on which she broadcasts her daughter's every humiliation. She was once part of a friendship of four, but two girls have broken away and want her to join them, leaving goofy but loyal Bridget behind. She misses her deceased father and is not sure how to handle her mom's blossoming friendship with Jake the sportscaster. She has landed her own weekly commentary on the morning podcast at school. Talia hopes this post will allow her a chance to give her mother a taste of her own medicine as she tries to figure out all the confusion in her 11-year-old life. This breezy read touches on some important topics from friendship and fitting in to dealing with loss and coping with change. However, it is the relationship between mother and daughterat times tense but always lovingthat gives the book its heart and makes it a good choice for mother/daughter book clubs."Shari Fesko, Southfield Public Library, MI"
