Grades 7-10 Caught between Heaven and Hell (and literally tattooed by both), 17-year-old apprentice demon-catcher Riley Blackthorne has made some bad deals. In this third book in the Demon Trappers series, Heaven wants her to stop Armageddon, and the devil has a favor he hasn't called in yet. Fans of the series' romantic angle will appreciate how much ink is dedicated to Riley's potential pairing with Beck, which Oliver ably juggles with undercover detective work on fake holy water and Riley's ongoing issues with the Vatican's elite demon-killing squad. Fight scenes between demons and the good guys are intense but not graphic and include an imaginative start to Armageddon.
