Rubber Duck

K-Gr 1-A boy takes his tub toy outside for a day of play. They go bike riding, give a ladybug a lift, hide from the child's big sister, jump into a leaf pile, roll down a muddy hill, and eat marshmallows before they both return home for a bath. Short rhyming phrases move the simple story forward. The watercolor illustrations add to the playfulness of the text. A word list and "Parent's Page" with activity suggestions follow the story.
