Lots of Balloons

K-Gr 1-A little girl asks a vendor for various balloons. With each request, she compares her choice to something familiar: "May I have a balloon-as red as an apple?" etc. She shares each one with someone playing or relaxing at the park. The illustrations are bright and colorful, featuring broad faces with small eyes and noses above smiling line mouths. The short, patterned sentences and questions are a comfortable fit for the intended audience. A word list is included.
