Daco's romantic thriller debut intrigues with fast-paced, high-stakes action that forces the take-charge heroine to balance her clandestine mission with obligations to her heart. Double-agent Jordan Jakes' perilous mission is ready to move to its final stage: infiltrating Iran to launch a missile in a remote desert locale. Jordan has to let go of happily-ever-after fantasies about her boyfriend who was "solicited as no more than a pawn in an international game of espionage and cold war." NASA scientist Ben Johnson refuses to lose Jordan though, and finds himself on a plane to Tehran with no plans other than to win her back. Now Jordan finds herself in a quandary weighing the scales between personal and professional conflicts as friendly and unfriendly contacts causes havoc with torturous consequences. Racing against time the moment of truth, trust and their pasts collide for Jordan and Ben. The keenly sharp intelligent female characters soar in this edge-of-your-seat adventure while Ben's naivety seems out-of-place. However the story does have heart and a satisfying end with hints there is more to come.
