The brutal treatment Michael Coleman experienced as a child turned him into a ruthless killer, but, after receiving a genetic transplant from the alleged blood of Christ, he learns to see beauty and feel love and compassion. However, an evil genetic engineer has other plans for the experiment. Richard Ferrone's always stellar performance of inspirational fiction leaves no room for disappointment here. Ferrone treats the material with respect, even in the occasional preachy passages on the evils of alcohol. Ferrone breathes life and heart into the well-written characters, and races along with a plot containing a fair number of twists. He conveys a sense of surprised awe at the magnificence of the Creator without sounding trite. R.P.L. (c) AudioFile 2003, Portland, Maine
