This work sets out to be a portmanteau of useful tennis knowledge collected from successful players and coaches. Hodgkinson (Andy Murray) rather prosaically organizes his book into the usual chapters dedicated to improving technical aspects of your game such as serve, backhand, forehand, and return. He also sought advice from experts about other aspects of the game including mental toughness, equipment, avoiding injury, coaching, and sportsmanship. These snippets of advice are meant to improve the game of any weekend hacker or aspiring Wimbledon champion. VERDICT While there are several useful insights here, Hodgkinson's passages are clipped and often paraphrased so it is not clear whether he interviewed the subjects or simply found published quotes and incorporated them into the book. A useful addition would have been instructional images that demonstrate how, for example, to create the absurd topspin generated by Rafael Nadal.--Brian Renvall, Mesalands Community Coll., Tucumcari, NM
