awesomenachos - Wow! Just wow. You might underestimate this sit-down stand-up comedian, but underestimate no longer! Jamie Grimm is NOT another handicapped character to be pitied. He is, however, a boy who was involved in a car accident which caused him to be paralyzed from the waist down. But Jamie overcomes this with jokes. Knock-knock jokes, one-liners, puns, riddles, you name it, Jamie says them all! In this book, Coach Ball, the sports-obsessed principal, wants to close the library and use it as a sweat room for the wrestling team. Fortunately, the school board comes up with an idea: if the library can show that a majority of the students use the place, then it won't close. But here's the catch: they have to do this by the end of the month. That's when Jamie and his friends have this great idea- he teaches a joke school in the library for kids who want to be comics like him. The only thing that's a bit off with the book is that there is a pattern of him being bullied, and the author shows it in (sometimes) a way that might make you think he should be pitied. But this is the truth: HE FUNNY!
