A Promise Is Forever saw Christy traveling around Europe with friends, wondering about the status of her relationship with God and Todd. Nothing has changed. While attending college in Switzerland, Christy makes plans with Todd and her best friend, Katie, to spend several weeks backpacking in Europe. Tensions mount from the moment Todd and Katie step off the train, and within days, three friendships are stretched to the edge. Christy prays for guidance about her relationship with Todd, but she doesn't listen very well. Even though she and Todd reach a semi-resolution, and her friendship with Katie survives, Christy's whiny "Lord, why me?" attitude quickly wears on the nerves.
